WE LOVE: YVETTE EDWARDS
Yvette Edwards is a floral genius, the kindest human and we knew immediately that we wanted to collaborate with her. As soon as we brought the idea up with her, she was so excited to join us! We gave her our moodboards for the overall vibe of the editorial but told her to go with her heart and just create! When she walked in the door, we were blown away. The floral headpieces she had made defied gravity and beautifully encapsulated the feeling of our editorial.
PHOTOGRAPHER: ZOE ELLIOT
Emily found Zoe on Instagram and loved her witty captions and stunning pictures. She booked her to take photos of her fiance and her and fell in love with Zoe’s warm personality and easy going nature. As soon as we started the process for this editorial we knew we wanted Zoe on board with us. This was a new creative venture for her shooting inside in a studio setting and we had so much fun all day. Her photos are so whimsical and ethereal. We are in love with her capture of our imagination.
MAKE UP ARTIST: ANNA KUSHNIR
We knew of Anna from a previous shoot she’d had worked on with Zoe Elliot and after seeing her editorial work on her Instagram and website we knew she would be a great fit for our shoot. We sent her our mood board as inspiration but encouraged her, as with the others, to explore her own creative process. We were so impressed by her efficiency and innovation, it really completed the mood.
MODELS: NAOMI REIGGER AND HANNAH MALPAS - KIRSTY BUNNY MANAGEMENT
As always the models from Kirsty Bunny were incredible and so easy to work with. This was Naomi’s first shoot, but performed like she was a pro alongside Hannah. They made the day flow so well and were open to experiment with different looks and vibes while managing the added difficulty of balancing flowers on their heads. We were so happy with how they portrayed our concept. Kirsty streamlined the whole process for us with swift and effective communication and organisation of the models making planning very easy for us.
CREATIVE DIRECTION: EMILY BELLE AND CONNOR MCLEOD
Our imagination for this editorial bloomed with the idea of flowers. Everything else stemmed from here. We wanted the entire feeling to have the romance of a garden which has such rich visual motive. We found inspiration online and created moodboards to capture and refine the look we wanted. We found the idea for the hair from a runway show which involved tying the hair in bunches and we decided to try this technique in a way to simulate the feeling of fingerwaves. Working together on this was super fun and the ideas flowed so easily, the perfect mood for any creative shoot.
